Students in AKTU will have to pay half the late fee


New Delhi (04/05/2022) The 66th meeting of the Vidya Parishad was held in Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradeep Kumar Mishra. In the meeting, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pradeep Kumar Mishra took many important decisions related to the interest of the students.In this it was decided to halve the late fee, then the proposal to create question bank for the examinations was given the green signal. Also, approval was given on the proposal to set up two departments in the university. At the same time, many other decisions were also taken including running another course in the Faculty of Architecture and Planning.

Relief to students

Vice Chancellor Prof. Pradeep Kumar Mishra has taken decisions keeping in mind the interests of the students in the meeting. In this sequence, the late fee charged from the students has been reduced. The university charges a prescribed late fee from students who do not fill up the examination forms on time, enter wrong roll numbers in the answer sheets or tamper with the barcodes. In the meeting, it has been decided to halve the prescribed late fee. Financially weak students will get a lot of relief due to the reduction of fees. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradeep Kumar Mishra told that this decision has been taken to reduce the financial burden from the students.

Question bank will be prepared

AKTU will soon prepare the question bank for the exams. In this regard, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Pradeep Kumar Mishra took a decision in the meeting. Under this, a question bank will be formed by appointing subject experts of higher educational institutions, course wise and branch wise committees will be formed. There will be four sections in the question papers. In which first objective type questions, second, short answer questions, third long answer questions and fourth long answer questions will be of difficult level. The questions in the question bank will be prepared for 5 to 10 years. At the same time, new questions will be prepared in the question bank after every three years.

B Pharma and MBA departments to be setup

It was also decided in the meeting to set up two departments in the AKTU campus. Under this, a pharmacy department will be opened in which B Pharma will be studied. Similarly, it was decided to start MBA under the Faculty of Management in the campus itself. Vice Chancellor Prof. Pradeep Kumar Mishra said that the students would be benefited a lot by running these courses in the campus. At the same time, the proposal to start a new course Post Graduate Diploma in Geo Informatics in the Faculty of Architecture and Planning was approved.Students passed under this course will be given Post Graduate Diploma. Apart from this, it was also decided to extend the deadline for submission of PhD in the meeting.
